On Tuesday we had an appointment with Dr. Jaime to get our 2 month old all checked out.
Liam was weighed and measured. Weight 16.7 lbs (with his clothes on- weird, we know) Height = 24 1/2 inches, & head = 42 3/4 cm.
After we were lead to wait in the exam room a nurse came in with Liam's chart and told us he is in the 95t
h percentile for his height and head measurements and "off the charts" for his weight. : )
For those who aren't familiar, percentiles are based on other babies Liam's age.

After the nurse left we sat back to wait for Dr. Jaime.

Liam needed to stretch his legs so Daddy helped him.

He was all smiles...

... until Mommy holding him made him realize that he was hungry.

Daddy gave him his bottle. (We don't travel anywhere without a pumped bottle ready to go. Liam's schedule is his own and when he's hungry, he's hungry.) He almost finished before Dr. Jaime came in. Liam was talking up a storm and giving him his sweet smiles. Dr. Jaime said Liam looked great and gave us some information about the vaccinations he was about to get. We said goodbye to him and waited for the nurse. It wasn't long before she was in the room. We made the decision before hand, after some reading, that I would hold Liam during. He
received one oral vaccine and 2 shots, one in each leg. Poor baby! All I could think was how
scary it must have been for him. It was over very quickly and the nurse showed us to a room so that I could nurse him. I was grateful that I could do something to help him feel better. He latched on and stayed there for a little over 10 minutes, until he fell asleep.

He slept the whole way home. (This includes dropping Daddy back at his office and stopping in to get some infant acetaminophen, just in case.)
Once we were home, and ready for another good nap, Liam was his smiling, happy self. He did have a little trouble falling asleep later that evening but it wasn't anything that the glider and Mommy's singing couldn't fix.
