Big Sister, Little Brother - Victoria's Visit (Part Three)

Liam started solids at 4 months old. We started with rice cereal and Victoria was here for this special event. She was our photographer.
"Hmmm... a spoon for me?"

Liam had to get used to closing his mouth once the cereal was in. Practice makes perfect!

"I think I'm okay with this stuff."

Later that afternoon we went over to Mimi and Papa's for dinner where it took all of us to create a GIANT burrito.

A YUMMY success!

Liam enjoyed his first sit in a high chair...

...and reflected on what a fabulous 10 days he had with his big sister. He already knew that he loves her and now he's experienced just how wonderful she is first hand.

We cannot wait for her to come back!

Ducking Around - Victoria's Visit (Part Two)

We got up early that morning to make sure we were ready to go and had seats...
Seats to what you ask?

The Duck Tour and Adventure!

Some of us were a little nervous when our tour guide and driver announced that we would be "splashing down" into the lake, but we got over our fears and had a smooth ride and float.

Victoria was even comfortable enough to take over and drive!

Liam was wondering what all of the quacking was about. He didn't seem to mind, especially since he loves to be outside.

Our adventure did run into nap time...

All 4 of us had really enjoyed the duck tour and it was the perfect weather for it. "Quack!"

We went out for lunch and then came home to make Victoria's infamous GIANT cupcake.

It was as yummy as it looks. What a sweet day!

Our 1st Mother's Day

I got to start my first Mother's Day with a delicious breakfast in bed. The rest of the day I got to relax, hang out with my boys, and even took a nap.

We also went on a family walk.

When it was getting close to bed time (for all of us), we got in our pajamas and Liam and I settled in to read "Love You Forever."

This is what happens when you have a baby who is very used to having his picture taken... "Mommy, that big black thing is in front of us. We are supposed to look!"

My first Mother's Day was WONDERFUL and I am VERY blessed.

Liam, Meet Your Big Sister (Part One of Three)

On March 31st it was finally time for Liam to meet someone very special...
...his big sister, Victoria! She would be here for 10 whole days and we were all very happy and excited.

Liam has heard so much about Victoria and definitely knows she is his big sister because he hangs onto her every word.

Daddy was off work for the week. We spent some time at home, around town, and made a trip to visit the AAA's.

Here are Adam Jr. and Liam in their matching everything! Mimi got them special outfits and frogs...Liam loves this frog and finds his hands particularly good for teething.

Here Liam is showing Adam that he too can be entertained by these wonderful toys at the ends of his arms and legs...

Back home we went and the next day we were out at Mimi & Papa's.

Liam and the ladies relaxed on the deck before dinner...

...while the big boys played a few rounds of horse shoes.
