I knew right away what a great uncle you are....and play with you, YaYa, Emily, & Bittwo! I love you!
Happy Birthday, Uncle Paul!
The forecast was correct! Here is what Liam and I saw through our window at 6:15 this morning.
Liam was ready to go.
He even wore a Pooh bib for cousin Leni (Leni's nursery is Pooh).
We watched Aunt Angie open presents. She got so many great gifts for cousin Leni!
Including... Uncle Adam's diaper bag full of clothes from when he was little...
... and the clean water tub from cousin Emily (the one she also recommended for Liam).
Liam slept through most of the festivities.
Aunt Angie was very excited to get a "manger" for Leni from us.We can't wait to meet you, Leni!
After the nurse left we sat back to wait for Dr. Jaime.
Liam needed to stretch his legs so Daddy helped him.
He was all smiles...
... until Mommy holding him made him realize that he was hungry.
Daddy gave him his bottle. (We don't travel anywhere without a pumped bottle ready to go. Liam's schedule is his own and when he's hungry, he's hungry.) He almost finished before Dr. Jaime came in. Liam was talking up a storm and giving him his sweet smiles. Dr. Jaime said Liam looked great and gave us some information about the vaccinations he was about to get. We said goodbye to him and waited for the nurse. It wasn't long before she was in the room. We made the decision before hand, after some reading, that I would hold Liam during. He received one oral vaccine and 2 shots, one in each leg. Poor baby! All I could think was how scary it must have been for him. It was over very quickly and the nurse showed us to a room so that I could nurse him. I was grateful that I could do something to help him feel better. He latched on and stayed there for a little over 10 minutes, until he fell asleep.
